DESIGN IDEAS
Context and vision

Da Nang has been and is a riverside city, with beautiful bridges connecting the two banks, bustling tourist activities. Major events and festivals of the world and the country have taken place in Da Nang;
Da Nang is also a place with unique natural scenery, especially at the end of the source, the intersection of mountain ranges and rivers, which has entered the subconscious of Da Nang people and tourists;
Da Nang is a place where many cultures intersect, one of the cradles of the unique Champa culture, especially the Phong Le Cham relic, a relic surrounded by an ancient stream of the Cam Le River;
The Hoa Xuan area is an area with strong development potential. The Hoa Xuan Bridge and the intersection complex will play a very important role in the development, and will be an architectural and landscape highlight for the area, a new symbol for innovation and development, continuing the success story of riverside bridges on the Han River in the development of the city.
Architectural idea

Mountains and Rivers in harmony, like a symphony of Mountains and Rivers on the Cam Le River, becoming a new symbol for the area

The bridge is designed with a structure that forms interwoven mountain shapes following the arched curve, creating a harmony between Mountains and Rivers, inspired by natural elements representing the area and its location. The harmony here is also a symbol of the harmony between nature & people, between cultures, between old and new spaces
In addition to the proposals on the organization of motorized traffic to reduce congestion at the intersection, the Design Plan also proposes a Green Traffic system to make the bridge more friendly to people and tourists.
The main color of the bridge is Phu Sa Pink, inspired by the bricks of the Phong Le Cham relic, symbolizing the color of alluvial soil particles that have been deposited on the land for many generations, once again emphasizing that harmony creates an image of the richness of the area.
The bridge is newly built with a single-span steel arch bridge structure, Clearance: B>30, H=6m; Scale of 6 lanes, each direction has 3 lanes including 2 car lanes 2x3.5(m) and a mixed lane 4(m). On both sides there is a sidewalk wide B⩾4 (m) combined with a walking and bicycle path.
Green Transport and Landscape Design
With the vision that Da Nang will be a pioneer city in encouraging and developing Green Transport like developed cities in the world, the proposed design includes the construction of a spacious walking and cycling system to encourage people to exercise and use green means of transport such as bicycles and walking.

The area at the beginning of the bridge on the Thang Long side: This area will be designed as a stopover, as a premise for the formation of the face of the riverside urban area in the future with bicycle and walking routes connecting the two banks. This riverside road will continuously connect to the Han River bank in the city center, both as a place for people to play around and as a stopover (with large vacant lots for bicycles, motorbikes, etc.) to serve the city's people in events in the area, boat racing festivals, and light shows that may take place in the future.

Lighting design

Bridge lighting not only ensures traffic safety but also brings aesthetic beauty, creates a new symbol contributing to promoting the locality and attracting tourism.

Lighting effects not only highlight architectural details but can also change the appearance of the structure at night, turning the bridge into the center of attention on daily and festival occasions.

The Pixel Led system on the steel arch combined with spotlights shining from below not only colors the bridge but also highlights the shape of the mountains and rivers connecting on the bridge; whispering the story of Da Nang's mountains and rivers.

Pixel effects draw typical patterns of Cham brocade on the bridge arch. The whole bridge is like a soft, gentle brocade scarf, shining on the Cam Le river.
And other effects will be programmed separately to bring the bridge to life.
